The Job
The successful Quality Assurance/Quality Control Officer will ensure all new software development works on existing and new applications will meet the desired requirements. The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Officer will report to the site team leader and will be responsible for the following:
- Perform test activities such as test execution, capturing and analyzing test results and raising & tracking defects
- Design and write test cases, regression tests and test scenarios
- Develop test procedures based on tests designed according to requirements
- Maintaining existing test artefacts
- Prepare Test Data as required
- Document and produce daily activities report
- Coordinate and liaise with relevant parties for project related items
- Maintain relationship with project team as well as other teams
- Participate in team meetings
- Commitment to quality, attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills. People-oriented
- All other duties as assigned
Your Skills and Experience
- Computer Science Degree or related discipline desired
- At least 3 years’ experience working as Quality Assurance/Quality Control officer in the information technology field related to this positions role
- Participate in different phases of the software development life cycle, including testing of integration, function, system, acceptance and regression.
- Ability to develop and maintain test plan, test case, test data, test evidence for each kind of main test events in the software development lifecycle.
- Familiar with Scrum.
- Ability to develop and maintain thorough software documentation.
- Known or familiar with Agile Methodology
- Familiar with Jira
- Skill in SQL and scripting language are preferable.
- Experience in an Automated testing platform like Jmeter, Selenium will be a plus
- Graduating from an English-speaking country like Australia, US, UK or Singapore will be a bonus.
- Fluent in English.
- Self-Starter – willing to contribute wherever needed.
- Strong communication skills. Must be able to conduct requirement gathering sessions, construct and lead presentations
- Experience working in a matrix organization must be comfortable working with a cross-functional team.
