JOB DESCRIPTION

Middle/Senior Backend Ruby on Rails

1/ Responsibilities

Design, test, and build scalable backend ruby services
Work with REST APIs, Websockets.
Imagine new tools for improving recommendations, collaboration, and project management
Integration with 3rd party platforms including but not limited to shipping, payment, omni channel, etc…
Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance.
Work with the front-end development team to integrate the backend systems with the user interface.
Experience with project management tools, such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

? REQUIREMENTS

2/ Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 2+ years experience in Ruby on Rails.
Experience in Ruby 2 and later, Rails 5 and later, and REST APIs.
Experience with test-driven development, ideally in a ruby development environment.
Experience in building large, scalable distributed systems with a good understanding of microservices architecture and associated principles.
Good communication, analytical and conceptual skills.
Self-driven, a hunger for learning, and a penchant for teamwork.
Assist with front-end dev-ops tasks.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management, and propose solutions to mitigate risks and address issues.

Plusses

Experience with React JS is a big plus
Experience with Firebase is a plus
Knowledge of CI/CD
Good English/Japanese verbal and written communication skills
Be oriented to become a technical leader
