What does a Tax Consultant do?

As a Tax Consultant, you will be part of a team performing analysis of our clients’ business environment for effective management of potential tax risk related to the operation of a company, and maximizing tax efficient structures to create more value for clients. Together with our tax professionals, you will be involved in providing creative and differentiated strategies for clients.

Generally, a Tax Consultant:

• Is included in one of several teams of tax consultants and gradually specializes in specific tax issues;
• Works under the guidance of more experienced colleagues (managers, senior consultants);
• Looks for and studies the documentation underlying the relevant questions; uses Deloitte standard methodologies and knowledge management resources; 
• Prepares draft letters and reports for clients, summarizing facts, analyses and specified solutions and recommendations;
• Looks for relevant reasoning to support recommendations and other information concerning Deloitte clients;
• Attends meetings with clients, together with managers and senior consultants;
• Communicates with domestic and foreign clients.
• Participates to comprehensive local and regional learning programs as well as undertaking self-study efforts using Deloitte global e-learning platform

General requirements:

• Background in accounting, auditing, finance, banking, foreign trade, economics and law.
• An excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication and team working skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Ethical behavior, high commitment and willing to learn.
• Dynamic, self-motivated, and ready to cope with high working pressure, handle multitask, and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
• Ability to articulate ideas in a mature manner and challenge other people’s thinking constructively.
• Strong record of academic achievement
