PROGRAMME ADVISOR
Company Description:
Learning Strategies provides services to children and adults affected by emotional, behavioral, learning, and developmental difficulties. We offer services to a wide range of people from a variety of cultural backgrounds provided by a team of foreign and Vietnamesespecialists.
Location:
Services are provided to clients throughout Ho Chi Minh City, and travel between locations is a part of the daily routine. We work in clients’ homes, in schools, and in our centers in Phu My Hung and AnPhu.
Working Hours:
40 hours/week completed between Monday and Friday. Normal working hours between 7.30am and 6.30pm depending on client schedules
Job Description:
The candidate will provide support to children affected by learning difficulties and developmental delays such as autism. The support is specialised and individualized to the needs of each client. Programmes are designed and managed by the senior team and delivered 1:1 by programme advisors who receive significant levels of training and professional mentoring.
Learning Strategies support is delivered 1:1 in home, school, community, and/or centre based settings, focusing on teaching functional skills; communication, play and leisure, social skills, motor skills, academics, and self-help skills. Advisors are required to work alongside families and care providers (tutors, nannies, etc.) to provide training and support to those responsible for raising a child on a day-to-day basis.
Using a blended learning model, professional development is continually delivered through online programmes, weekly workshop events, and individual professional mentoring and appraisal.
Responsibilities:
Core responsibilities will be:
· Providing intensive 1:1 support to children and adolescents affected by range of learning, emotional, and behavioral difficulties as well as developmental delays such as Autism SpectrumDisorders.
· Responding to direction and support provided by the programmemanagers.
· Providing ongoing support to relatives, tutors, and other primary careproviders.
· Managing daily data recording systems used to track each child’sprogress.
· Communicating with relatives, programme managers, and other teammembers.
· Completing progress reports relative to eachclient.
· Attending training sessions and completing online training programmes after workinghours.
· Contributing to the development of teaching resources and other business development activities during non-client contacthours.
