JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
1. Job Purpose
- To help management make “risk-aware” decisions
- To help staff at all levels take “risk based thinking” into account their daily tasks
2. Accountability
- To ensure the risk taking activities of the 1st Line of Defence appropriately reviewed and assessed.
3. Key responsibilities
- Assist business departments to formulate and then implement the associated risk appetite and limit framework, risk management plans, risk policies, risk reporting and risk identification processes;
- Review and assess the risk taking activities of the 1st Line of Defence, where appropriate challenges the actions being taken to manage and control risks and approves any significant changes to controls in place;
- Coordinate with risk coordinators, owners to ensure timely escalate all operational risk issues to the appropriate levels (ORM Head, CRO, TLT, PCA Risk Function), where required;
- Proactively look for better ways to improve the effectiveness of the risk management activities;
- Oversight, advise, support and challenge Risk Coordinator/Risk Reviewer/Risk Owners on risk exercises to ensure:
- Departmental Risk Register: is promptly kept up with the state of business and measured by appropriate key indicators;
- Incident reporting: is timely escalated and adequately remedied;
- Turnbull Certification: all non-compliance points with Corporate Governance Manual and significant control deficiencies are fully and comprehensively declared.
- Scenario Analysis: economic capital reserve is calculated promptly with the precise parameters used.
- Timely submit all risk exercises to PCA Risk Function as guidance/requirements;
- Maintain and uphold risk awareness to staff at all levels.
- Others: to be assigned by the Line manager or Company’s management (if any).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Qualification:
- Mandatory:
Bachelor degree in economics or accounting & auditing;
Good awareness of Enterprise Risk Management.
- Advantage:
Degree qualified, with a relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CIA, CPA.
2. Experiences:
- Mandatory
4-5 years of experience in risk management or internal audit/external audit roles.
- Advantage:
Experience in financial services industry.
3. Knowledge and skill set:
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both VNM & English;
- Responsive and service-oriented attitude;
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment;
- Ability to maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal clients;
- Sound and practical business judgment;
- Interpersonal skills as well as problem solving skills;
- High sense of responsibility, integrity, and confidentiality;
- Strong analytical skills; risk management, audit, risk analysis and evaluation;
- Good skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
